Choose a movie. Welcome friends. Enjoy being home.
A small action can mean a great deal when it becomes easier to do independently. John Masson described choosing a movie through his ELAN app and Kaleidescape server without having to cross the room to change a disc. That everyday freedom was at the heart of the work.
ITAM coordinated lighting, motorized shades, temperature, entry, security and entertainment throughout the Southern Pines residence. Touchscreens were positioned at a comfortable height, and family members could use the controls relevant to them.
The cinema and gathering spaces gave John a place to enjoy films and welcome people into the home. The controls helped make those moments easier, with fewer separate steps between deciding what to do and enjoying it.
